Note: Candidates for all licenses must pass a background investigation before they will be deemed qualified for a license. After passing the exam, candidates for the Site Safety Manager, Elevator Director and Elevator Inspector licenses will be asked to submit a Background Investigation Form to the Buildings Special Investigation Unit at 83 Maiden Lane, 4th floor, NYC NY 10038. Be sure to include required proof of employment for each job listed on the form, otherwise your background investigation may be delayed.
