Red Light Camera Program

Under New York State Law, the New York City Department of Transportation administers a program that photographs vehicles and issues violations (called Notices of Liability) to vehicles going through red lights at selected intersections. Finance is responsible for collecting and processing those fines. Finance also holds hearings for drivers who wish to challenge the Notices of Liability they receive.
