Members of the USAR NY Task Force 1 pull an 8-year-old boy from the rubble in Haiti. Members of USAR NY Task Force 1 rescued two children from a collapsed building in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, on Jan. 19.

After returning to camp after working a 12-hour shift, civilians notified the FDNY and NYPD members about children trapped in a collapsed building.

Working for more than three hours with a USAR team from Florida, the team rescued the siblings a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy.

Both children are reported to be in good condition.
