Careers at HHC

Opened in 1976, North Central Bronx Hospital (NCBH) is a major provider of comprehensive health care in one of New York City's most ethnically diverse service areas.

NCBH offers a wide range of primary, medical, surgical, obstetrical/gynecological, behavioral health services and state-of-the-art inpatient care. The Emergency Room, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, provides both medical and psychiatric emergency services.

The hospital's midwifery service has received national recognition for its family-friendly approach. Our adolescent pregnancy program meets the special medical and social needs of pregnant teens and their infants.

Our Growth and Recovery Program coordinates more than 25 twelve-step self-help groups and wellness programs throughout the community. These programs are attended by 1,500 to 2,000 people monthly. The Center also offers a broad range of wellness programs, which include stress and pain management, weight loss, smoking cessation and cardiovascular risk reduction.

North Central Bronx Hospital is a member of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation, and a partner in the North Bronx Healthcare Network.
