The Office of Environmental Remediation (OER) is pleased to announce a public hearing at 10:00am on Monday April 16, 2010 to discuss the NYC Brownfield Incentive Grant (BIG) Program and the E-Designation Program draft regulations, which were published on March 16, 2010 in the New York City Record.
The proposed rules establish innovations for the local brownfield community that will:
- Provide grants for eligible developers of brownfields for predevelopment, environmental investigation, and cleanup;
- Provide grants for technical assistance to not-for-profit brownfield developers and local match funding for New York City Brownfield Opportunity Area grantees; and
- Establish fees for review of E-Designation projects.
The public hearing for these proposed rules will be held at 110 William Street, New York, NY in room 4A/B. OER will accept written comments on both rules through April 19, 2010.
